From the emergence of city-states to the decline of civilizations, the history of Europe is best revealed along her rivers. With this exciting new Uniworld itinerary, you have an opportunity to trace the centuries-old—actually millennia-old—timeline. The Gold Treasure of Varna, dating back 6,000 years, and a Roman Fortress, take you back to the earliest recorded history. Go forward a few hundred years and take in the sights of Medieval villages and castles. And then visit contemporary times in the major cities of Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade and Bratislava, as well as marvel at the technological wonder of the Iron Gate. Hundreds of years of history—all awaiting your discovery on this all-encompassing Eastern Europe Cruise.
Who will enjoy this cruise: Those interested in learning more about Eastern European culture, landmarks, and art long hidden from Western viewing. Archeology enthusiasts will also have a field day (as well as a day in the field).
